These terms apply when you use the Chopinson app or website. By using Chopinson you agree to them. If you sell food on Chopinson, the section for cooks applies to you too. Questions: support@chopinson.com.

What Chopinson is

Chopinson is a marketplace. Home cooks list and sell their own food; we provide the app, take payment on their behalf and pass it on after delivery. The cook is responsible for the food they cook and for delivering it, themselves or through their rider.

Ordering and paying

• Prices, packs and delivery fees are set by each cook. Before you pay you'll see the full total, including our service fee.
• Payments are processed by Paystack. Your money is held until the order is handed over.
• When your order arrives, give the cook or rider your 4-digit code. Entering it confirms delivery and releases payment to the cook, so only share it once you have your food.
• If a cook declines your order, you're refunded in full.
• Pay-for-me links expire after 60 minutes if nobody pays; nothing is charged. Gifts not used within 3 days, or turned down, are refunded in full to the buyer.

Problems with an order

If your food doesn't arrive, is missing items or isn't what you ordered, contact Support in the app as soon as you can. We look at each case and may give a full or partial refund. Refunds go back to the original payment method and can take a few working days to show.

Your account

• Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
• Give accurate information, especially your delivery address and, if you sell, your identity and bank details.

What you post

• You keep ownership of your videos, photos and comments. You let Chopinson show them in the app, on our website and in our promotion of Chopinson.
• Don't post anything that's false, hateful, sexual, violent, harassing, unsafe food practice, or someone else's content.
• Don't ask people to pay you outside Chopinson for food found on Chopinson.
• We can hide posts and suspend or close accounts that break these rules. You can report a video, comment or account in the app.

For cooks

• You must be 18 or older and complete our checks (ID, selfie, cooking video and food-safety checklist) before selling.
• You're responsible for cooking safely, describing your food honestly (including ingredients people may react to), and delivering what was ordered.
• Your first 30 days are commission-free. After that Chopinson keeps 10% of the food price on each delivered order. Delivery and pack fees are yours. We'll tell you in the app at least 30 days before these rates change.
• You're paid to your bank account after each delivery, through Paystack.
• Keep up the weekly kitchen checklist. Missing it two weeks in a row pauses your kitchen until it's done.
• You're responsible for any taxes or permits that apply to your cooking business.

Our responsibility

We work hard to keep Chopinson running and to check every kitchen, but we can't guarantee the app will always be available or that every meal will be to your taste. As far as the law allows, we're not responsible for indirect losses, and our responsibility for any order is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under Nigerian consumer protection law.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app first. You can stop using Chopinson and ask us to delete your account at any time. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
